After taking the jig out of the box the screw would not turn. after a generous application of wd-40 and numerous (difficult cycles) i was able to get the jaws to move. Today i am making a easy self-centering doweling jig using some pieces of scrap oak, stainless steel and bushings. the bushings/spacers i used for the 3/8.
